Yacht Clubs and Churches in CT & NY - Senior Project Manager for the Club Constructor and Project Manager for the Church Congregation

Project Summaries: Renovated two-story 20,000 square foot wooden structure of a club in Greenwich, Connecticut; renovated and made site improvements to the meeting house and sanctuary of a church in Rowayton, Connecticut.

Challenges:

  • Building a new foundation under the existing clubhouse and renovating the interior with new kitchen and dining facilities, while saving a portion of the original 100-year old structure, and doing so in nine months.
  • Matching unique design of the sanctuary when adding a second story to the meeting house.

Involvements:

  • Prepared original budgets and schedules.Managed complicated structural changes to the clubhouse which entailed lifting, relocating and returning the building to its original location on a new foundation.
  • Worked with architect for meeting house renovation to make it more compatible with that of the AIA award-winning sanctuary.
  • Managed and controlled contract balances.
  • Managed cash flow and lien waivers.
  • Negotiated final payments.
  • Obtained final certificates of occupancy.
